API Developer Agreement

Last updated 1 July 2025

This policy is provided for review and must be confirmed by legal counsel before public launch.

This API Developer Agreement governs your access to and use of Airfree developer APIs, SDKs, and related credentials. It supplements our Terms of Service.

1. Licence

Subject to this Agreement and your compliance with it, Airfree grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the Airfree APIs and SDKs to build and operate applications that interoperate with the Services.

2. API keys and credentials

You are responsible for keeping your API keys and OAuth client secrets confidential and for all activity conducted with them. You must not embed secrets in client-side code or public repositories, and you must rotate any credential you believe may have been exposed.

3. Acceptable use and limits

Your use of the APIs is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy and to documented rate limits and quotas. You must not attempt to circumvent these limits, and you must implement reasonable back-off and caching to avoid placing undue load on the Services.

4. Data handling

You must handle any personal data or geospatial data obtained through the APIs in accordance with applicable law, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the GDPR where it applies, and consistently with our Privacy Policy. You must only request the data your application needs and must delete it when it is no longer required.

5. Changes and deprecation

APIs evolve. We may add, change, deprecate, or remove API features and will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice and a migration path for breaking changes to stable API versions. Preview or beta APIs may change at any time.

6. Termination

We may suspend or revoke your API access if you breach this Agreement, exceed limits in a manner that threatens the Services, or where required to protect security. On termination you must stop using the APIs and delete cached Airfree data as required.

7. Contact

Developer support and questions about this Agreement are handled via /contact.
