Configure IMAP in Thunderbird

Connect Mozilla Thunderbird to Airfree Mail over IMAP and SMTP with the correct settings.

Thunderbird connects to Airfree Mail over standard IMAP and SMTP. You will need an app password rather than your main password, generated from Settings → Security.

Server settings

IMAP: imap.airfreemail.com, port 993, SSL/TLS.
SMTP: smtp.airfreemail.com, port 465, SSL/TLS.
Username: your full email address.
Password: an app password generated in Security settings.

A note on encryption

IMAP clients decrypt mail locally, so your zero-knowledge protection is preserved as long as your device is secure. Use an app password so you can revoke this one client without changing your account password.
