From Outlook to Airfree Mail in 7 steps
Most customers complete the migration in under 30 minutes, including DNS cutover.
Create your Airfree Mail account
Sign up at airfreemail.com. Choose your plan — you can start free or go straight to a paid plan (Start, Business or Professional) if you have custom domain requirements.
Open the migration tool
In your Airfree Mail inbox, go to Settings → Import → Microsoft 365 / Outlook. The tool walks you through the rest.
Authorise with Microsoft
Click "Connect Microsoft account" and sign in with your Microsoft credentials. We use OAuth — we never see your password.
Select what to import
Choose which folders, date ranges, and items to import. You can include all email, only recent messages, contacts, and/or calendar events.
Start the import
Click import and the process runs in the background. For large mailboxes, it may take a few hours. You will receive an email when it is complete.
Update your DNS (optional)
If you have a custom domain on M365, update your MX records to point to Airfree Mail. We auto-generate the correct records for you.
Configure Outlook clients (optional)
Keep using the Outlook desktop client by configuring it with our IMAP/SMTP settings. Full Outlook compatibility guaranteed.
FAQ
Common questions
Will my emails be deleted from Outlook?
No. Migration is a copy operation — your Microsoft mailbox is untouched. You can continue receiving email there until you update your MX records.
Does it work with Exchange on-premise?
Yes, if your Exchange server is accessible via IMAP. We also support Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) and Outlook.com personal accounts.
Will calendar invites still work?
Yes. Calendar events are imported in iCal format and visible immediately in Airfree Mail Calendar. Future invites from Outlook users will work normally via iCal.
Can I keep using Outlook after migrating?
Yes. Configure Outlook with our IMAP/SMTP credentials and it works exactly as before — just routed through Airfree Mail servers instead of Microsoft.
